Nigeria remain 45th in May Fifa ranking

The are unmoved in the May Fifa ranking released on Thursday after as they maintain their eight position in Africa

Nigeria’s senior national maintained their 45th position in the latest Fifa world ranking released on Thursday.

The African champions were adjudged the same rank in the world according the ranking released earlier in April.

The Eagles are the eight-ranked African side behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, , Cape Verde and Guinea.

Meanwhile Algeria remain at the summit of African with 917 points which put them in the 20th position in the world while Cote d’Ivoire  are second in Africa and ranked 23rd in the world.

The top 17 positions are unaltered from last month, which means Germany (1st, unchanged) continue to lead the way ahead of Argentina (2nd, unchanged) and Belgium (3rd, unchanged).

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 4 June 2015.
