OYO (Sundiata Post) – A Nigerian lady, Eniola Sisialagbo has made public her plan to set a new world record for cooking herbs.

Eniola titled the attempt, ‘Agbo-A-Thon’ after it was approved by the Guinness World Records (GWR).

“Guinness Book of Records has approved for me to do Agbo-A-Thon,” she said.

“I am cooking Agbo (herbs) for 300 hours in Ibadan. Kindly wish me well.”

In a flier, the herb seller, who hails from Oyo, said the attempt will take place in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.

“Eniola Sisialagbo an indigene of Ipapo Mesunagbo Itesiwaju LGA of Oyo state embarks on a national history to cook herbs/agbo for 300 hours,” the flier reads.

Eniola joins the growing list of Nigerians who have attempted GWR tasks since the beginning of 2023.

In June, Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, was certified for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

She achieved the feat in 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Damilola Adeparusi, another chef, started her cooking marathon which was to last for five days.

Then came Adeyeye Adeola who also attempted to upturn Baci’s record in a 150-hour attempt.

In the same vein, Temitope Adebayo, a chef based in Ibadan, announced his intention to cook for over 120 hours.

Hassan Joshua Bature, a computer science lecturer at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), also revealed plans to undertake a 150-hour teaching marathon.

In October, Daniel Ehis Aiguokhian, a student at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), attempted to set a new GWR for the longest hours of writing fiction and non-fiction stories by an individual.
