Abuja -The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has called on Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to support and cheer the Golden Eaglets as they pursue their 5th World Cup title.
A statement signed by the Assistant Director, Press, of NOA, Mr Paul Odenyi said the Director-General of the agency, Mr Mike Omeri, made the call in Abuja on Thursday.
The statement urged Nigerians to adorn themselves and their surroundings in the beautiful green and white colours of Nigeria’s national flag as a mark of patriotism when the Golden Eaglets file out against Mexico.
According to the statement, the time has come for Nigerians to let the world feel the energy that Nigerians are known for, both on and off the field of play.
Omeri commended the Emmanuel Amuneke tutored boys for their resilience and tenacity so far in the tournament.
He was also optimistic that they would replicate their 2013 finals 3-0 defeat of the Mexicans and carry on not only to the 2015 finals, but all the way to yet another victory.

Omeri recalled that the Golden Eaglets were so named by President Muhammadu Buhari when he was the military Head of State.
He implored Nigerians to upscale their support for the team until they are crowned “Super Golden Eaglets” by Buhari, this time as civilian President.
The director-general said he was optimistic that Nigeria would win the fifth Under-17 World Cup trophy by the Grace of God. (NAN)
