Port Harcourt – Sharks FC of Port Harcourt Coach, Festus Allen, said on Monday that the team would work hard to escape relegation at the end of the current soccer season.
Allen told newsmen shortly after his team defeated the defending champions, Kano Pillars, 1-0, in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional League match in Port Harcourt.
Jackson Daniel scored the lone goal of the encounter in the 62nd minute while efforts by Pillars to equalise were thwarted by Sharks defence.

Allen said: “a win against four time league champions will spur us to win our remaining games. I thank the players for putting in their best to win this match’’.(NAN)
