Abuja – Mr Murtala Muhammed, National Youth Council of Nigeria Presidential contender, has promised to work with both the government and private sector to chart a course for the Nigerian youth and create job opportunities.
Muhammed made this promise in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.
He promised to work with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the mirage of problem bedevilling the Nigerian youth.
He said that if elected, he is ready to chart a course for the Nigerian youth by creating enabling environment for job creation.
Muhammed denied being sponsored by the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he was mature enough to take decision.
According to him, the contest is open to all youth below 35 years, hence he is qualified to contest and nobody should think he is being sponsored.

“I am not being sponsored by any political party, group or individual, I am here along with my team to rescue the Nigerian youth, and I hope they will give me their support,” he said.
Muhammed said the youth should repose their confidence in his leadership if he emerged.
He said that his quest to contest was borne out of a genuine desire to serve the Nigerian youth, adding that he would ensure that he bridge the gap between the government and the youth if elected.
He said that the Nigerian youth should be given the privilege to play a role in the leadership of this country.
The candidate said that the youths were poised to work hard in order to see the country on the right path.
