Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Biafra leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, secured a significant victory in court as the Enugu State High Court, under Justice A.O. Onovo, dismissed a suit brought forth by Debe Odumegwu Ojukwu, who claimed to be the first son of the deceased.
Debe contested the validity of Ojukwu’s will, alleging his exclusion from it and asserting that the document was altered.
However, the court ruled against Debe, stating that he failed to substantiate his claim of being acknowledged as Ojukwu’s son during his lifetime.
Additionally, the court affirmed the validity of Ojukwu’s will and denied Debe’s daughters the right to challenge it, as they couldn’t establish themselves as Ojukwu’s grandchildren. This ruling marks a legal triumph for Bianca Ojukwu and upholds the integrity of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s estate.
