Lagos- Chief Martin Onovo, Presidential candidate for the National Conscience Party (NCP) on Saturday cast his vote at about 5.20 p.m. at his polling unit 13 in Lekki phase one area of the state.

Onovo, who initially had problems with his accreditation, said that after an initial delay, the card readers worked very efficiently when it got underway.

“After the initial delay by INEC, the card readers worked very effectively.

“It shows that INEC can get the process right,’’ Onovo said.

Before his eventual accreditation and voting, Onovo had expressed disappointment at the late arrival of INEC officials at the polling unit.

NAN reports that when they eventually arrived, there were problems with the names of some voters, which delayed accreditation and prevented voting from taking off on schedule at the polling unit. (NAN)
