Abuja (Sundiata Post) — It was the turn of the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal, who appeared before the three-man panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday.
Lawal, who arrived the Presidential Villa, venue of the meeting, about 1 p.m., is currently taking questions from the Presidential Committee investigating alleged financial improprieties against him.
The Panel began its meeting, after Osinbajo received members of the Bangladesh military delegation at the State House, Abuja.
Lawal was suspended last week Wednesday by President Muhammadu Buhari over his company being awarded over N200 million contract paid from funds meant for the welfare of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Northeast through the Presidential Initiative on North East (PINE).
Other members of the panel quizzing Lawal are: the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno.
The Committee, on Monday, grilled for several hours the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, who was suspended alongside Lawal on Wednesday over a huge cash found at Osborne House, Ikoyi, Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC recently.
