Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has said something about his track record that no one can refute aa they are statements of fact.
Obi who was governor of Anambra state in the South East Nigeria for eight years said for the whole of that period, not one day did he ever borrow from any financial institution in the country.
According to him, while as a governor and out of office, he has never been invited by anybody to answer questions about missing monies and neither did he owe pensions, salaries, gratuities or contractors.
The former Anambra State governor made the remarks when he appeared in Arise Townhall.
The tweets from The Cable read:
“.@PeterObi on his track record: As a governor, I served a state for eight years. Not one day did I ever borrow from any financial institution in Nigeria. I have never been invited by anybody to answer questions about missing monies.
I was not owing pensions, salaries, gratuities, or contractors. #AriseCDDTownHall.”
Sundiata Post recalls that Peter Obi left a track record that will be difficult for any governor to beat, especially now that many have seen ascension to power as the only way to primitively, acquire wealth and looting of common patrimony.
