Nwogu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt that the people of his senatorial District had enormous challenges that deserved urgent attention, to meet their needs.
‘’ Going through the 88 wards in the senatorial zone, my experience is that the people need basic infrastructure that are missing.
Nwogu said he would give attention to education to make the youths get empowerment and employment.
‘’ The future of our people is guaranteed when we are educated and able to work and these are the things we want to do.
‘’ The youths are not lazy, they are active but they just want an outlet to earn some decent living.
‘’ I want to pursue youth empowerment, education and employment,’’ he said.
The Senator-elect said the March 28 election in the state had been adjudged very successful because it was fair and credible.
He said the results had been acclaimed both locally and internationally.
‘’The election is both an accomplishment, but also leaves me with a burden. A burden to justify the confidence of the people in giving me such a huge mandate,’’ he said.
Nwogu pledged that he would ensure that the people of the Senatorial District got the best in democracy dividends. (NAN)
