Danladi, who made the plea at the launching of 64-Page ePassport in Jalingo, said safeguarding the border had become imperative given the security challenges in the north eastern part of the country.
Earlier, the State Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Taraba Command, Alhaji Habibu Adamu, said the ePassport was designed to address the demands of frequent travelers and to tackle global security challenges.
He said the agency was liaising with Taraba Government officials to encourage the public to obtain the passport.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Danladi and the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Timothy Kataps, were presented with the ePassports at the occasion. (NAN)
