TigerBrands changes name to Dangote Flour Mills Plc

LAGOS (Sundiata Post) – Tiger Brands, South Africa’s largest food producer, has changed its name to Dangote Flour Mills Plc three years after selling majority stake to Dangote Industries Ltd.

At its recent Annual General Meeting, Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company were taken which reflected the new name wherever Tiger Branded Consumer Goods Plc appear.

In a letter sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) it disclosed that: “The Financial year of the Company be changed from October to September to January to December of each year, the end of the first new financial year being December 2016 having a fifteen-month period. Kindly note the changes for your records while the change of name is being processed with Corporate Affairs Commission. A copy of the Certificate will be forwarded to you for your records as soon as the process is concluded.”

It will be recalled that Dangote provided Tiger Branded Consumer Goods Plc of Nigeria with an immediate cash injection of N10 billion for 65.7 per cent stake in the Johannesburg, South Africa-based company.
