Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged state governors to promptly implement wage awards, aiming to alleviate economic hardships.
The President emphasized that adopting these awards would offer relief without causing inflationary pressures, addressing the issue during an event in Minna.
Additionally, he outlined plans for a comprehensive livestock program to transform challenges into economic opportunities. Meanwhile, Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, highlighted the state’s commitment to agricultural development and its role in achieving national food security.
The governor announced strategic partnerships and initiatives to position Niger State as a major food exporter, with Lagos State serving as a significant off-taker.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency in food production, stressing the collaborative efforts of several states for enhanced food security in the country. The event was attended by governors from Benue, Kogi, Kwara, and Osun, along with federal and state legislators and ministers.
