Abuja- The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has postponed by two days the opening of its Under-19 male camp, in preparation for the Africa U-19 Championship scheduled for Botswana between Feb. 6 and Feb.11.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the camp, earlier scheduled to open on Jan. 12, was postponed to Jan. 14.

Musa Ehizoje, Head, Media Unit of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), told NAN that the camp was put on hold, subject to confirmation by the African Cricket Association (ACA).
“Invitation for our participation in the tournament, scheduled to begin on Feb. 6, is yet to be extended by ACA and the NCF will not want to open camp and later, the tournament will be postponed.
“We believe that the invitation will come between today (Jan. 12) and tomorrow (Jan. 13),’’ Ehizoje said.

He said that the NCF general staff meeting slated for Abuja on Jan. 13 would also assess the development, before the new date for camping.
According to him, the meeting will also review the 2014 NCF Cricket season and preview that of 2015.
He urged members to attend the meeting with a detailed report of the 2014 season, to enable them to be able to strategise effectively for 2015. (NAN)
