UN Human Rights Chief, Navi Pillay, on Friday in Geneva questioned the legality of Israeli airstrikes by Israel’s military operations in Gaza that killed high number of civilians.
She said the recent reports that many Palestinian civilians were killed in strikes on residential buildings are deeply disturbing.
Pillay said such reports raise serious doubt about whether the Israeli strikes have been in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
She also expressed dismay by Israel’s actions and indiscriminate rocket attacks from Gaza, while calling on both sides to respect the rights of civilians.
