The vice president is presiding over the Federal Executive Council meeting.
The meeting is taking place at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, Abuja – The vice president is holding forte for President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently in Awka, Anambra state capital city for the last round of the APC governorship campaign in the state The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This is even as the president is in Anambra state after visiting Ebonyi state where he bagged two chieftaincy titles on Tuesday, November 14. Those present at the FEC meeting include; the minister of sports and youth development, Solomon Dalung; the head of service to the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita; the new secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha and minister of communication, Adebayo shittu.
Others present include: the minister of education, Adamu Adamu; minister of budget and national planning, Udoma Udo Udoma among many others.
It was gathered by Naij.com that President Muhammadu Buhari arrived the Alex Ekwueme Square, Akwa for on Wednesday, November 15, for the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party governorship campaign in Anambra state.
The president while speaking in the southeast urged residents not to buy into the ‘senseless propaganda’ of secessionist.
He said the southeast mostly comprising of individuals of Igbo extraction and Nigeria as a whole are inseparable.
He said: “There is no part of Nigeria where you will not find Igbo entrepreneurs. So I am asking you all not to buy into the senseless propaganda on secession. Igbo is Nigeria and Nigeria is Igbo. Both are inseparable.”
The president during his visit commissioned the 700m length of the Akanu Ibiam Twin Flyover Bridges which run through the African Trans-Sahara route. The president also bagged two chieftancy titles – Enyioma 1 of Ebonyi and Ochioha 1 of Ndigbo. Naij.com
