MARARABA – The Police on Thursday arraigned a Woman, Mary Onwuku, in a Mararaba Senior Magistrates’ Court for fraudulently obtaining N700,000 on a piece of land.
Onwuku, 27, of No 2, Aunty Alice road, Mararaba, faces a four-count charge of criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, cheating and forgery. [eap_ad_1] The prosecutor, Steven Kwaza, told the court that one Chinwe Akanio of same address with the accused reported the matter at Sani Abacha Road Police Station, Mararaba on June 26.
Kwaza said the accused allegedly conspired with her husband, Ekene Onwuka, and claimed ownership of a piece of land at Kurudu Layout, FCT, and issued the complainant fake document on the land.
According to the prosecutor, Akanjo had on verification from the Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS), discovered that the document was fake.
