We have been discussing with them, and there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. We are now set to make it public and the Memorandum of Understanding would soon be signed. This is a good thing for our Women Football League, and whatever that accrues the deal go a long way to the burden of our clubs. I want to thank our various clubs for their patience and support; and to the Chairman of the KC Gaming Network, Mr. Kunle Soname for believing in women football in the country”.

They have dominated the African scene, winning the Africa Women Championship seven times, and the age grade teams are not doing badly, with the U-20 girls playing in all FIFA World Cup finals since inception in 2002 and reaching the final twice.

“These are no mean achievements, and we felt that the best thing we can do as an organization is to support the League that has been producing these players that have been positively projecting the image of this country. This is our little way of giving back to the and also ensuring that the girls are empowered through the game of football.
