Yenagoa – A group, Niger Delta Youth Coalition for Peace and Progress (NDYCPP), has lauded the developmental stride of Gov. Seriake Dickson-led administration in Bayelsa.
National President of the coalition, Mr Teidor Olayinka, made the commendation on Saturday in Yenagoa, when members of the group visited the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
The group also lauded the Commissioner, Mr Lawrence Ewhrujiakpor for his supportive role in ensuring the completion of projects embarked upon by the ministry.
Olayinka expressed satisfaction that the government had done a lot in the area of road construction and in the health sector.
He listed the Tombia Bridge and the Bayelsa West Senatorial Road as some of the numerous projects that had impacted positively on lives of the people.
Olayinka said the coalition was formed to build upon the ideals of the government and to champion the cause of the Niger Delta by harnessing human and material resources.
He said that the coalition was ready to partner the ministry and urged the commissioner to recruit its members in labour intensive construction projects.
In his response, Ewhrujiakpor commended the coalition for its role in fostering peace and sensitising the public on the achievements of the government.
While pledging to work with the group, the commissioner tasked the coalition to continue with its sensitisation programmes to reverse the poor perception of the people of the Dickson led administration.
