Gombe- The Gombe State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged Christians to pray for peaceful conduct of the 2015 general elections this yuletide.
The state’s CAN Chairman, Dr Abare Kalla, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Thursday.
Kalla said Christians needed to pray fervently to God to take total control of everything in the land.
“We want God to break any barrier that may constitute a stumbling block in the course of the election,” he said.
The CAN chairman also urged youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians as instrument of violence.
He sympathised with victims of the recent bomb blasts in Gombe State, stressing that “we
pray that God will bring an end to this calamity.’’ (NAN)
