The speaker of the House, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji gave the directive following a complaint raised by the lawmaker representing Talata-Mafara South, Alhaji Aliyi-Ango Kagara during the House plenary in Gusau on Tuesday.
Kagara under matters of urgent public importance, told the House that the company handling the township road projects in Jangebe and Kagara towns in Talata-Mafara local government, Kaya, Faru and Jambako in Maradun local government as well as Rini and Gamji in Bakura local government had abandoned the work.
According to him, the company had abandoned the site for a long time, urging the assembly to investigate the reasons behind the action of the contractor with a view to taking necessary action.
“We are so concern on this contract, our people are complaining, we need to know what is happening.
“I am calling on this House to invite the company and investigate the matter”, Kagara said.
