ANKA (ZAMFARA) – Three local council chairmen in Zamfara have commended the exemplery conduct of election officials and security agents during the conduct of March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The local councils’ chairmen spoke in separate interviews Friday, on the conduct of the elections.
Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad, the Chairman of Anka Local Government, described the elections as peaceful, credible and successful, attributing the feat to the patriotic role of security agencies, especially in the state.
“Nigerians showed that they knew their rights considering the way they came out massively and voted for change.”
In his comment, Chairman of Kaura-Namoda Local commended INEC for the successful conduct of the polls.
According to him, the commission has rekindled the confidence of Nigerians in the nation’s electoral process.
He believed that the smooth conduct of the polls had also promoted Nigeria’s image abroad.
Liman said that the election was free, fair and credible, and commended people of the area for their orderliness.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Also, the Chairman of Bungudu Local Goverment, Alhaji Tukur Nahuche, described the election as historic.
Nahuche said INEC, security agents and the general public were “wornderful” during the elections.
The chairman appealed for a more orderly conduct during the Governorship and state assemblies elections.
He commended the people of the area for turning out enmasse during the Presidential and National Assembly elections and called on them to maintain the trend in the April 11 polls.(NAN)
