Yoruba Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare is surely not smiling at the moment as the 419 case involving her new husband, Alhaji Atanda Orilowo and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has taken a toll on her and her businesses.
The actress, who dumped her former husband in controversial circumstances, and was in a long drawn scandal over the paternity of her child, has had her multi-million naira boutique opened for her by Alhaji Orilowo, closed down by the crime fighters.
The closure came as a result of a court order that all known property of her husband be forfeited, following the alleged fraud of about N2.5 billion meant for the construction of a Y’ellow Estate in the Ajah area of Lagos, which he allegedly embezzled.
Apart from Laide’s boutique, Alhaiji Oriowo’s two petrol filling stations in Ajah, his house at Ibeju-Lekki and his 2014 model of Bentley have all been confiscated by the EFCC while she is running from pillar to post to get her business opened.
