Lagos – The traditional ruler of Agege community area in Lagos, Oba Kamila Isiba, on Thursday said the Oba-in-council would organise for the youths of the area during Yuletide.
Isiba told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the carnival was part of activities to project the culture and tradition of the town and foster unity among the ethnic groups living there.
“We have planed various competitions like :football, dances, music, fashion and a beauty pageant for the period.

“The activities are to make the Christmas a fun-filled one for the youths and the residents of Agege Local Government Area.
“This is the first of its kind in this area and we are planning it big,’’ he said.
He disclosed that the Oba-in-council would collaborate with the youth association (Agege Prestigious Guild) and the Agege Local Government Council to make the event a big one for all.
“The Guild will be in charge of the competitions while the palace and the local government will provide security and other exigencies during the celebration,’’ he said.
Isiba said that gifts would be given to the winners of the competitions while outstanding individuals and groups would also be honoured. (NAN)
