Lagos – The President, Association of Formidable Education Development (AFED), Mrs Ifejola Dada, on Thursday said the fresh approval granted 137 private schools in Lagos would help the education sector.
She told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that approval of the schools was long overdue as it was needed to make quality education accessible to more people in the state.
Dada urged private school owners to continue to complement government’s efforts to actualise Education For All (EFA) in the country.
The AFED President, however, said more private schools needed to be given approval, urging the state government to endorse those who had met the requirements.
“Government cannot do the job alone,” she said, adding that the AFED would continue to work silently to complement such efforts to ensure that the education sector in the state continued to get better.
NAN also reports that AFED is made up of schools with low school fees, which do not charge more than N25,000 per annum. (NAN)
