Borno State Commissioner of Sports, Isa Buratai, has praised the efforts of the League Management Company to reform the Glo Premier League.
El Kanemi Warriors, which is owned by the Borno State Government, have been forced to operate out of Kano after league action was suspended in Maiduguri due to unrest.
Buratai, however, insists that the shift has not affected the home form of the Warriors, and he went on to commend the LMC for their role in strengthening the league.
“The reform is aimed at standardising the league in Nigeria in line with FIFA regulations. You see, the reforms are meant to meet international standards and they are highly commended,” he told Leadership.
Buratai noted that the reforms are the reason for the upsurge in the number of wins and draws for away teams. Kickoffnigeria)
