Aba (Abia) – Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has assured the people of the state that his administration would continue to provide the needed infrastructure, to improve their living standard.
Ikpeazu gave the assurance in Aba on Monday while inaugurating the Owerri-Okigwe-Omuma Road in preparation for a bye-pass for the rehabilitation of Faulks Road in Aba.
He said he would not sleep over the tussle to govern the state.
“It is only those who care for you that will build your roads and it will last for 20 years. I beg you not to be angry at the people who want to disrupt the progress of our government. They are the ones who would lose sleep.
“We are at work and will continue to work for our people. From now to the next two weeks, I will enter inside Ohanku, Obohia and Ibere to rehabilitate their roads, whether they like it or not.
“It is when a man starts doing good and seeing good things that satan becomes angry. Those who want to steal our mandate are those that will lose sleep.
“Relax, nothing is happening because we know the God that we are worshipping. No man can steal our mandate, only be strong on our side.’’
The governor urged his supporters to be steadfast, adding that what was happening in the state was a revelation of those who love them and their well-being.
He said that the state government was currently working on 47 roads, which must be delivered before the onset of the rains.

He said that the one km-road, when rehabilitated, would last for more than 10 years, to ensure that the people benefitted from electing Ikpeazu.
Ubani urged the residents to support the present administration to do more for them. (NAN)
