NFF reconfirms Nigeria, Uganda match for Uyo

Wednesday’ senior international friendly match between and Uganda will be played at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo, the Nigerian Footbal can confirm.
NFF officials reconfirmed the Government and people of Akwa are excited about the game, which pits the three –time African champions against the 1978 Cup of Nations runners-up.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick said “We have been discussing with the Government of Akwa Ibom the past few months and nothing has changed. We appreciate the keen interest of Excellency, Godswill Akpabio in the of football and also the good people of Akwa Ibom for their ready hospitality at all times.

“We have never had any problem with the Government of Akwa Ibom State. They are desirous of hosting big games at the marvelous venue everyone calls the Nest of Champions.”
The delegation of Uganda’ Cranes, which arrived in Abuja aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight on , as well as players and officials of the , are expected to be accommodated at the Le Meridien Hotel in Uyo.
