The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Achor Nna, the former leader of the Obio-Akpor legislative council, for publicly endorsing Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Despite being an ally of FCT minister Nyesom Wike, Nna, also the Councilor of Ward 9, resigned his position to support Fubara.
The party, in response, accused him of failing to address allegations of misconduct and misappropriation, leading to his expulsion.
Nna, however, dismissed the accusations as baseless, challenging the party to provide evidence and claiming he was never invited to any disciplinary committee. The political turmoil in Rivers state persists as factions vie for control.
