Enugu – Enugu Police Command has urged people in worship centres to always maintain vigilance.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Sunday that the slight improvement in security should not make people to relax measures put in place.
According to him, insurgents have now resorted aiming soft targets in their dastardly acts.
“It is instructive that we always ask our people, especially worshipers, to be security conscious and vigilant at all times as insurgent had turn their disaster acts on soft targets.

“They must make sure that vehicles and bikes are parked far away from the worship centres, while people carrying suspicious bags should be thoroughly scrutinised.
“ During services, worshipers should be wary of strange faces especially when they walk relentlessly in and out within the centre,’’ he said.
The PRO, however, urged authorities of worship centres with large number of people, to have their centres fenced.
“Fencing would allow for proper monitoring of movement in and out, as well as check forceful entrance.
“Hand and vehicle scanners, as well as CCTV cameras, would help worship centres a lot,’’ he said.
