Asaba – Mr Kingsley Esiso, new Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta, on Wednesday called on all those who left the party to return within the next three months.
Esiso made the call at a news conference after taking over from his predecessor, Chief Edwin Uzor, at the party’s secretariat in Asaba on Wednesday.
He said his executives would ensure the continuity of the party in the state. “We want to return the President of PDP extraction to Aso Rock, Abuja in 2019.
“Therefore, those who left this party for one reason or the other to seek greener pasture should come back to the party in three months without sanctions.
“My door is open to welcome them back as a family which they belong. I pray that they all come back willingly and we will accept them’’, Esiso said.
He stressed that the doors would still be opened to the returnees after three months “but this could attract some sanctions.’’
Esiso said the party would set up a committee in the next few days to handle those who would return and for new members.
He lauded the people for voting them into the office “in a most transparent, peaceful and acceptable PDP congress in the state.’’
