Abuja – The National Industrial Court, Abuja, has fixed March 16 to hear the suit instituted by one Mr Julius Igoche, of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, seeking his reinstatement.
Igoche, an Administrative Officer in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, is challenging the purported termination of his appointment in April 2016.
The claimant is asking court order to reinstate him, because due process was not followed before he was disengaged from service.
The aggrieved officer is also asking the court to set aside the dismissal and reinstate him to the position of Principal Administrative Officer.
When the case came up for further mention on Thursday, claimant’s counsel, Mr J.Otanwa, informed the court of two pending applications before the court.
He told the court that the Federal Civil Service Commission and the Attorney General of the Federation have filed a motion on notice to regularise their processes.
He told the court that the respondents have also filed their preliminary objections to the case.
Otanwa said that he had already responded to the issues raised by the respondents in the preliminary objections
The judge, Justice Rakiya Haastrup, adjourned the case till March 16 for hearing of the preliminary objections.
The claimant joined the Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission and the Attorney General of the Federation as co-respondents in the suit.
