Gaborone – Australian company A-Cap Resources, Botswana’s pioneer uranium explorer, on Thursday announced that the commencement of its major uranium project had been deferred until 2021.
A statement by the company said that the Government of Botswana delayed plans to begin construction of the Letlhakane Uranium Project by two years.
A Cap’s Letlhakane Uranium Project is one of the world’s largest undeveloped deposits and contains 352 million pounds of uranium; within this, 90 million pounds of higher grade uranium (284ppm) had been identified.
The Letlhakane project had been identified as a rare project of low capital expenditure.
