PORT HARCOURT – Dr Dakuku Peterside, Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″] (APC) in Rivers, on Friday called on the electorates in the state to vote according to their conscience and stand by it.
Peterside made the call in Rumuola, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers at a rally held by the party.
He said that it would be wrong for people to vote against their conscience.
The APC candidate promised tro ensure adequate security, law and order in the area, if elected into office, adding that thuggery, touting and armed robbery would also be a thing of the past.
“We must stand for what is right, we must stand for the future of Obio/Akpor, we must stand together and reject oppression,” he said.
Peteside said it was only the votes of the people that would stop dictatorship and one man show in the area.
He said, if elected, the era of insecurity, the era of impunity and lawlessness would come to an end.
“When you stand for your votes to count and elect me as governor, your mandate shall bring infrastructural revolution that will drive economic boom.”
“In our road map to prosperity, we have outlined how we will achieve sustainable peace and security, how we intend to achieve infrastructural development.”
Peterside said his administration would democratise development and empowerment in the local government area.
He called on the people to defend their votes as it was the only way to end corruption in the country. (NAN)
