ABUJA – The Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company ( AEDC) has assured electricity customers in Kogi, Niger, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory of stable power supply during the festive period.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Ahmed Shekarau, Head, Public Affairs of the company.
According to the statement, a special task force has been set up to speedily distribute the load allocated to the company to meet customers’ need during the holiday.
The statement said that Regional Managers in the company’s six region had been directed to prepare, submit and monitor their Special Taskforce Group with similar organisations set up in the area offices.
“Notwithstanding the movement of customers to celebrate the yuletide with their loved ones in their towns and villages, we will ensure equitable distribution of load allocated to us and speedy response to faults,”it said.
It commended customers for their understanding in 2014 and expressed optimism that power supply and associated services would improve in 2015.
The statement urged customers to be safety conscious and resist the temptation to engage in any act of theft of energy or vandalism.
It advised customers to also always take advantage of the existing Call Centres to report any fault for quick intervention.
It would be recalled that customers in the FCT had complained of epileptic power supply in the past months.( NAN)
